Ryzom ist ein Massively Multiplayer Online-Rollenspiel (MMORPG). Ryzom ist ein "Sandbox" -Spiel; das heißt, du kannst darin machen, was du willst, solange es die Grenzen der Technik, der Überlieferung oder der Verhaltensregeln nicht überschreitet.

Im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen MMORPGs gibt es keine Geschichte, es gibt keine vorgeschriebenen Aktionen, es gibt keine auferlegte Reihenfolge, um sie auszuführen. Dein Charakter kann alle seine Fähigkeiten (Kampf, Magie, Handwerk und Piercing) verbessern und in "einer Welt ohne Barrieren" gehen, wohin du willst. Wenn du Ryzom startest, öffnest du ein Fenster zum Abenteuer. Wenn du Ryzom spielst, spielst du in Freiheit. Wenn du bei Ryzom trainierst, geht es darum, die Fähigkeiten zu verbessern, die du niemals verlieren wirst. Kein endgültiger Sieg bringt dich dazu, "das Spiel zu beenden". Ryzom hat kein Ende.

Bevor du reinspringst...

Es gibt kein allgemeines Level in Ryzom. Ihr Level (genauer gesagt des Charakters, den Sie spielen) in jeder der Fähigkeiten wird im Aktionsfenster angezeigt (standardmäßig B-Taste). Wenn dich jemand nach deinem Level fragt, ist es das Level deines Charakters in der verwendeten oder besprochenen Fertigkeit.

Bei Ryzom gibt es keine Klassen, keine Einschränkungen! Jeder Charakter kann eine oder alle im Spiel verfügbaren Fähigkeiten erwerben und einsetzen. Keine der Atys-Rassen hat einen Vorteil in einer dieser Fähigkeiten, außer im Hinblick auf das Rollenspiel. Die Rasse deines Charakters beeinflusst dein Gameplay in keiner Weise.

Web-Apps sind kleine Apps, die von Spielern entwickelt wurden, sie synchronisieren sich in regelmäßigen Abständen mit dem Server (und manchmal mit anderen Servern), oft gibt es eine Verzögerung von 10 bis 20 Minuten.
