However, the eight botanical families listed below should help you to find your way through the teeming flora of Atys.
You should also know that all Atys plants that are not (or not only) members of these families are listed in the “pseudo-family” Special plants.
Die wundervolle Flora von Atys
Wir haben zwei Verzeichnisse der gesamten Flora, die auf Atys zu finden ist:
- Eines ausschließlich für die Intelligenten Pflanzen,
- und eines für die nicht-aggressive Flora, detailliert nach Ökosystem:
Dieser Abschnitt listet die Flora von Atys so auf, wie sie sich dem Laien darstellt. Beachte, daß viele Angehörige dieser "Flora" nicht einmal wirklich Pflanzen sind, sondern eigentlich Pilze oder sogar unbewegliche Tiere. Aber man muß sich schon ein wenig mit Botanik befassen, um das zu erkennen. Die Flora, auf die Du stoßen könntest, variiert je nach Ökosystem des Kontinents, auf dem Du dich befindest, sehr stark. Nur wenige Pflanzen kommen in mehreren Ökosystemen vor (z. B. der Olansi-Baum, der sowohl in der Wüste als auch in den Seenlanden vorkommt). Daher ist die Flora nach Ökosystemen geordnet.

Die Papalexi sind transparente Bäume, die als große geisterhafte Blätter erscheinen. Man findet sie nur in der Lucenthead Hurst, einer Region im Canyon der Gesetzlosen.
Einige Botaniker behaupten, dass Papalexi ein entfernter Verwandter der Loojine ist und weisen darauf hin, daß der knollige Auswuchs an der Basis seines einzigen Blattes der Käfigkugel dieser letzteren ähnelt.
Es gibt zwei Arten von Papalexi, von denen die eine völlig transparent ist und die andere blau erscheint. Es scheint, dass es das Wasser ist, das die Papalexi durchsichtig macht. Wegen ihrer Zerbrechlichkeit wird diese Pflanze jedoch nicht von den Fyros verwendet.
Ab dem Herbst werden die Papalexi von den Staubwinden der Brennenden Wüste völlig zerfetzt.

Fyros Legend
The Great Tree is immortal, and its ashes, once cooled, regain their vitality. From the ashes come flowers and fruits. The flora spreads towards the sky in the hope of reaching other planets.
Matis Myth
All the vegetation was born from the hands of the Matis. These agile artists sculpted each of the elegant leaves of Atys. The Goo, or more rarely the original chaos, is responsible for any malformation.
Tryker Myth
The Seed has many offshoots that form the vegetation of Atys. Plants are not so cooperative with the capricious Kamis, but the Kamis nevertheless use them to generate and then feed their creatures. But the Flora of Atys needs protection. Otherwise the homin civilizations will perish, leaving nothing but the bestial prosperity of the corrupted Goo…
